The stairs exiting the back sliding door of the house were rotted and dangerous for our clients young children. Many of the deck boards were patched with the wrong type of wood filler from the previous owners. We discussed with our Clients the options of either replacing the rotted stairs and deck boards or removing the old porch and building new. They decided to go with a new deck. We first discussed what they were looking for with the new design and if they wanted a new layout. With them having young children they knew they wanted a flush exit from the back door onto the porch and only one exit off the porch Into the grass landscape. They also decided they wanted the size of the porch to be larger for their growing family and to accommodate lounge chairs and a dinning area. For this project our Clients wanted to update their sunroom and add structural support underneath. They requested new windows and screen door with wood trim detail.  New all season carpet and the for the outside to be completely sanded with clear coat applied. Have a peek at the process.

It was drafty and outdated; they also wanted to re-locate their laundry room. We took this project from demo to completed in a few months. 

This project involved a little bit of everything. The main level had not seen so much as a coat of paint since 1993 and was in need of a major refresh.
